And let's not forget that our supporters were singing Bubbles 35 years before the Scousers started with YNWA - in fact about 20 years before YNWA was even composed.
Bubbles may even be the earliest example of a supporters song as opposed to a chant. Certainly among the first.

YNWA is a very good song, no denying it, and they sing it well at Anfield, and probably Celtic Park as well, but as a piece of music, Bubbles is far superior. It's a bloddy shame everyone doesn't know the verses, because they are excellent, and essential to make the chorus work properly.
Said it before, but I dream of Tom Waits doing THE version of Bubbles. It's just like the kind of song he would write, and may well have done in a previous life.

As a song they win but as a football anthem I love bubbles just as I think Liverpool fans love YNWA Are they both Gay sounding anthems, well Obviously even when sung In gruff working class accents.

Bubbles is far better as u don't even have to sing the whole song and it's been turned into a chant over the years with FORTUNES ALWAYS HIDING......
You don't have to start with the horrible montone of walk on everytime.
The chitty chitty bang bang version of bubbles is the bollocks aswell.

I fucking love Bubbles. It's unusual for a football song, and that what makes it fucking great. And it's ours, ours only.
You'll Never Walk Alone is alright, as far as a load of cliched old bollocks goes.
